THE PROJECT | WHY WE DO IT | OUR STORY |
WHAT WE DO
We work with mayors, councillors, and local water and energy providers around the Great Lakes to provide residents with simple, practical skills to prepare for - and respond to - severe weather events, and emergencies. We show householders:
1. how their daily choices around household water and energy use affect the source water they rely on every day
2. how to build their extreme weather resilience and emergency-preparedness, through simple, practical steps
3. how to take simple, effective steps to:
-
reduce water and energy bills
-
protect their drinking water and recreational water sources and the watershed that sustains them
eir family, household & neighbourhood's most basic sources of well-being in the face of severe weather events
2. build household and neighbourhood-based water/energy literacy, resilience and self-sufficiency
